Cooperative Innovative Early College High School
Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy (WYWLA) offers students in grades 6-13 a rigorous program that focuses on graduating college and career ready students in a College Transfer Pathway area of study.

Early College
Students take both high school and college courses as part of their daily schedule. College courses are tuition-free and course credits count on their high school and college transcripts.
College Transfer Pathway
Students have access to university courses in a College Transfer Pathway. Successfully completed university courses are eligible to be accepted by a receiving 4-year university.
Shaw University Partner
Shaw University is the first HBCU in North Carolina and a proud leader in higher education since 1865. The university is located in the heart of Downtown Raleigh, dedicated to empowering students through academic excellence, cultural enrichment, and community engagement. Students at WYWLA access their university courses on Shaw’s campus.
